Central Kentucky Basement Waterproofing Professionals
If you’re experiencing a wet basement, you are not alone! The National Association of Realtors state that 85% of all homes in America have wet basements at some point. So, if you're buying or selling a home or just want to fix the home you love, Waterproofing Pros has the solution to solve your basement water problem. Whether you’re experiencing leaking walls, seepage through the floors or cracks in the foundation or just elevated humidity, you need a system that is going to keep your basement dry, all the time!
The professionals at Waterproofing Pros utilize state of the art waterproofing solutions, customized to ensure the right system for the right client. These are the most common systems we offer:
- Interior basement drainage system: This system requires digging down to the footer elevation along the interior perimeter of the basement to allow the placement of our drainage system. Often times this requires the concrete floor be cut and removed along the interior perimeter. Once the trench has been excavated to the proper depth, then a series of filter fabric, perforated pipe and drainage stone is placed to collect the water and divert it to the designated point of outlet. The designated point of outlet is where we place the sump basin and commercial grade sump pump that ultimately gets rid of the unwanted water and allows for proper outletting of the unwanted water. A membrane is also placed vertically up the entire interior perimeter wall to prevent any water from escaping into the living area. Once our system is in place, the concrete is replaced and the area returned to “better than before” condition.
- Exterior basement drainage system: The mechanics of this system is much like the interior system, however, is performed on the exterior of the home allowing the collection of the water before entering into the basement. (Sometimes this system is not feasible due to exterior structures prohibiting the perimeter excavation, such as: decks, porches, landscaping, sidewalks, etc.)
- Grade, drain and proper excavation: In some cases, water entering a basement can be as simple as regrading the area(s) to ensure proper drainage away from the home before water has a chance to enter.
